Oh the game is certainly worth a try
Some people might not enjoy it due to the slow progression of the plot and the fact that instead of doing standard JRPG-killing-gods stuff you are pretty much running errands like catching cats and changing lightbulbs most of the game
If you can't handle text-heavy games you probably won't like it
