How do I solve this? I can't figure it out
>>225371
312.73*1.35=422.1855
What grade are you in OP......
>>225376
I'm a freshman in college. Im taking a remedial math. I haven't been in school since I graduated 1.5 years ago.
>>225371
X(1-.35) = $312.73 => X(.65) = $312.73 => X = $312.74/.65 => X = $481.14
>>225371
312.73/65 = 1%
1% * 100 = 100%
>>225376
Doesn't work like that, because in your math you're saying that the 35% is 35% of 312.73, while actually it was 35% of a bigger number. The actual answer is 481.123...
In other words, for the discount you remove 35% of 481.123, so if you want to reverse it you need to add the same quantity, not 35% of 312.73. OP is gonna fail his math again this year because of you kek.

You should really learn how to take a screen shot.
If it's discounted 35%, then what percentage would they have paid?
100% - 35% = 65%
x * .65 = 312.73
x = 312.73 / .65
x = 481.12
