The Cat Returns is one of my favorites. I wouldn't call it cute in the way moe shows are, but the characters are loveable and adorable.

Note that most of these aren't really trying to actively be cute, they just inherently are from the character designs or the way the characters interact.


Also, I haven't watched it, but Tamayura just recently got done with a 4-part movie series, so you could catch up with the show and then watch the movies, much like with K-On.

Girls und Panzer also got a movie, so you could do the same for that as well. Haven't watched this either though, so I can't vouch for its quality, nor Tamayura's, but if you want cute girls doing cute things, they both probably have what you want.

Dobutsu no Mori is nice, and not very widely watched because it's an odd little video game adaptation.

It's cute in a heartwarming way. The designs not so much besides maybe the main girl. Watch it for Christmas or at least during December. It's a really nice sort of Christmas movie and just a great movie in general.
