Hey /war/, I'm shit with computers, but I know some stuff, and apparently my intern thought it would be a good idea to fuck with the bios settings and set a system password. Sticky note he left says the password is "ass", but the keyboard is locked. I've tried putting the USB keyboard into every port and using different keyboards, I tried getting back into system settings but that requires a password. If I can't fix it in the next 2 hours I'm fucked, please help
>pic related, it's the monitor

I'm on mobile if it wasn't already painfully obvious
/wsr/ is too slow for 2 hours. You should make a thread on >>>/g/ they should be able to help you. Sorry I couldnt fix it mate
>>218843
/g/ is going to tell me to come back here
>>218844
Then they are cunts, this is their specialty.

No, don't make a thread on /g/
It's not a tech support board and shit like this is the reason they're so bitter in the first place.
If you want to ask /g/, ask in >>>/g/sqt
It's the place for stuff like this, cluttering the catalog with your personal problems isn't the point of /g/.
As for whatever he's done, good luck OP

That's a desktop, so do this[1] to reset the BIOS settings, then go into the BIOS and load the defaults and it should boot fine.
It's a Dell, so you shouldn't even need a screwdriver.
Some Dells even have a jumper that only clears the password and leaves the rest of the settings alone.

What is /g/ even for?
Every time I look at it, it's just a bunch of dumb generals.
>>218869
its in the sticky so can't complain.
>>218867
>jumper
this
and then fire the intern
>>218895
That doesn't answer the question at all.
What is /g/ for? Why does it even exist?
>>218839
gotta do the jumper method mentioned earlier. i was in the same situation on a dell years ago because of my brother

for people who work in the tech industry to ridicule each others' opinions. just like /a/ is for weeaboos to ridicule each others' tastes in anime and /mu/ is for hipsters to look down on other hipsters.
