What's the best order to watch eva? Skip the last two episodes and just watch EoE, watch them then EoE, or watch EoE and then 25/26?

How about watching them all in order and then watch EoE? What's wrong with that, not sophisticated enough? Do you drink wine while watching your animes too?

I just remember the first time i watched them i really disliked 25 and 26 and i have heard people say EoE is basically a replacement for them; curious for what my friend should watch.

If you didn't like episodes 25 and 26, I would suggest skipping your rewatch of the series and just watching the Rebuild movies instead. They've got a lot more action and cleaner animation. They're even in 1080p.
If you want a non-dick response though, just watch it in release order: TV, then the movie. None of that skipping or watching 25/26 after the movie. Just give them another shot. See if your older age can appreciate them a bit more. I know I couldn't understand anything when I first watched it in my early teens.
If you want the real meme answer though, the true connoisseur's method is to watch episodes 1-24 like normal, but then after a certain point in End of Evangelion, you watch episodes 25 and 26. Some theorize that the events that take place during 25/26 are supposed to happen during Human Instrumentality and thus, the ending of the movie makes a bit more sense for the character motivations and such.
There are three nice answers. Pick your favorite.

Thanks, probably will just have my friend watch release order though that third option sounds like a good one.

Thankfully, I never got involved in that whole Eva drama, i think it's a big waste of time and energy.
Please OP, don't overthink it and just watch the series like anyone would, in release order. Sip on that wine if you want to feel like a connoisseur :/
