Hi,ive got a project which wants me to : on the virtual system under linux create various configurations of sw raid. So ive installed a virtual box and linux mint. Its just a project so i am not supposed to actually buy disk and create an array. My question is how to proceed, is virtual box and mint the right choice, can you give me some hints on how to ive got many manuals but i think they all are for actuall Raid making. thanks

1) install whatever linux in VM with more than one disk image
2) inside VM, use dm or md to create raid
4) prophet

As far as the guest is concerned, there is no difference.

i am fairly new to this so if you could explain... VM i guess is virtual machine so is virtual box sufficient? and how do i install it with more then one disk image... sorry for beign total noob
