Assuming you're not underage, Naruto and Bleach both start out fine, but after 150 or so chapters, they get a lot less interesting. Maybe 250 chapters for Naruto. Bleach tapers off after the first major arc, so it's a lot less.

Full Metal Alchemist is great.

If they have One Piece, definitely pick that up. Same for Death Note.

List the other stuff the library keeps. I know of popular manga (more so their anime counterparts though) and wouldn't really know what a school would keep.
