I am pretty illiterate when it comes to a lot of tech to bear with me.
About 3-4 months ago I get error messages for some of the game that I play saying that I need to install Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable. So I do and it won't finish installing.

After a bit on google looking for answers, it looks like it is due to my OS not being up-to-date. So I go to windows update and I get this error message (pic related). I went onto some of the windows support forums and none of them have helped.
What do I do? I can't play some of my favorite game without this shit.
What version of Windows?

windows 7 service pack 1

Did you try this?

So far the Windows Update Troubleshooter said that it fixed the issues. But yet I still get the same error.
Will look at the other options now.

Did it manually now and I still can't update windows.
Also I think it should be worth noting that this computer has never been updated. Why? I don't know.
Bumping because I really need help with this.
If you can't fix it after 4 months, and you don't feel like Googling for an answer on your own, it's time to do a factory reset.

Was thinking it would come to that eventually.
Well thanks for everything.
Now for one last question. 7 or 10? (I have a backup 7 laptop for my older games that I may downgrade to xp so compatibility won't be a issue)
