Hey guys,

i´m looking for an (or several) anime that has the following themes:

>high stakes
>characters can get killed off easily (no one is safe) or at least some meaningful losses
>thick atmosphere
>not too new (also no entry level stuff)
>preferably decent art/animation

Bonus points for good story or great characters

Hunter x Hunter 2011.

1999 is way better, but 2011 has the Chimera Ant arc, which is one of the most beautiful, sad and bloody arcs in manga.

Off the top of my head, either Madoka Magica or Hunter x Hunter 2011, they're both really really good

If you want a long thrilling ride full of feels, go for Hunter x Hunter. If you want it short, go for Madoka
