help me please
got a new s7 edge and the screen broke
took it to be repaired, no issues
a while later I stuck it underwater
went black wouldnt respond
dissasembled it and dried out water that had gotten inside
a week after being in a bag of rice I try to boot it up, nothing happens. even with hard reset
heats up when I charge it
wont take it to the guys who fixed it first cause theyre scammers and dont give any warranty
am I fucked?

when they replace the screen they don't seal it making it waterproof again, they just glue it so it stays on. basically, you're fucked.

For the most part, its gone - when you tried to recharge it you probably shorted something which explain why it got so hot. Water got inside something that if it does not short it, it will probably corrode it in the mean time.

Take this as a life lesson to take better care of your electronics and get a water/impact resistant case and phone.

No you arent... Water will vanish from the device and free the connectors. Bag of fucking rice is myth... Heating it was the stupidest thing ever because you can overheat it and the microchip will die. You can hope that you didnt overheat it, put it in some dry place, if the day is sunny put it outside on the son. And you can hope that it will work.. Also if you didnt removed battery maybe you fucked the battery and thats the way of no return except buying a new battery... I think thats that

I bet you got the screen replaced as cheap as possible and that's why it isn't waterproof anymore.
