int thisNum;
double thisNum;
im getting an error saying:
variable thisNum is already defined in method main.
does anyone know how to fix this error?

How bout pick a different variable name for your shit.
>>193173
Let me elaborate by asking a question: IF you had those two variables defined with the same name, how would you differentiate between the two when you use them?

Finds a way
>>193171
you are creating two variables with the exact same name "thisNum".
you should do something like
int thisNum;
double thatNum;
you can't use the same variable name.
>>193171
union thisNum{
int64_t i;
double d;
};
>>193171
If u want to use the same name but change its data type try type casting.
