Ah, I thought you wanted yuri without romance for some reason.
I guess I do not know of any series on par with your fantasy/horror romance that involve homosexuality. Sorry.
If you can settle for regular romance/drama, Aoi Hana would be a good choice, but as you said it is a generic, highschool-age girls scenario, and it might not interest you.
