So, I've never built a PC before and I wanted to know, would this build work fine?

Anyone?

I've personally had shit luck with Rosewill PSU's burning out, and eventually just got an EVGA model that's working great. 550W also seems a little on the low side for that build; it's better to shoot for some overage on the wattage, than risk running low.
>>
550W is more than enough for this build even with OC, but I'd also recommend a higher quality PSU like a good BeQuiet straight power 10 (even the 500w model would be more than enough) or a Seasonic built unit.
The Rosewill will work; it is not bad tech. But I would not trust it with my new system, especially not when overclocking.

Yeah i changed the psu to 850 after i posted this thanks for the help guys :)
>>

That's waaaay overkill. You won't even reach 400w when overclocking.

just to illustrate this point, this test got to around 300w in stress tests, (so already way more consumption than normal gaming).
And this was with an old overclocked inefficient sandy bridge 6 core.
450w is already "being on the say side".

Hmm I guess ill change it back gives me some room for a extra moniter that way.
>>
>>188195
Changed it to 650w that should be good right?
>>
>>188196
Yeah, that's plenty of headroom for even the biggest of upgrades.
As long as it's a good quality PSU of course. Build quality is more important than the little sticker.

A bad 850w may die at 500watts, a good 500 may still work at 550.

Updated build
>>
To give you some perspective, I've been doing heavy overclocking with cards drawing more than double the power yours does on a psu capable of around 540w, including heavily overvolted cpu.
>>
>>188199
Yeah, that's a good choice! Still way more than what you need, but what's really important is that it feels good to you.

Cool! Thanks for the help everyone!
