What are some good light novels to read for someone learning Japanese? All I can read right now are comics like Yotsubato, but I wanna get used to blocks of text without visual aid.

You know "light novels" are picture-books, right?

What, they have pictures on every page?
Guess I'm a retard then. But simple novels then.

No, they only have occasional pictures.
Also, I don't really know of any simple LNs worth reading (just look for some fairly popular SoL LN I suppose, if you are really interested) but I would suggest trying to read more complex manga first

Check the Google Docs in the OP for a bunch of recommendations at certain levels.
I don't know if it has LN recommendations, but here's a list of VNs that are recommended as easy reading.
Also, I agree with >>186250 in that you should probably just start reading more complex manga.
Also, calling LNs "picture books" is just silly. There aren't that many pictures in LNs.

Second list of VNs.
By the way, if that thread is 404 by the time you look at your thread again, just search for "DJT" or "Daily Japanese Thread" in the catalog or something.
