Over the last week I've been having issues with my graphics on my laptop.
every video game I try to run just visually freezes a few minutes into the game but everything else in the background works. looks as if the game is running but the display isnt updating. a few additional seconds later I get bombarded with system notifications saying how the graphical drivers crashed has restarted (repeatedly) until eventually it tells me that the game was blocked.
I have no idea where this shit came from because I didnt do any driver updates, my OS updates are blocked, I didnt install any new programs/games. It just appeared one morning and been hasnt stopped since.
I did try to update my graphics after the issue started but it hasn't changed a thing.
Any ideas on what the cause might be or how to fix it?

Did you try a system restore to a previous time when this all worked okay?

>my OS updates are blocked
Unrelated to your problem, you need to stop listening to /g/. I bet you also use "common sense" as an antivirus.

>You mean like before "a few minutes into the game"?
No, I mean like a time before you started to notice the freezing in games, i.e two weeks ago.

No, I disabled sys restore.

this did cross my mind but it is an integrated graphics (Intel HD4600) it doesn't show up in the in the sensor list and the CPU doesn't run that hot. (peaked at 73 degrees when the game crashed)

I didnt listed to /g/, I just got tired of the nagging and constant updates breaking shit.

Why? It's not like it's expensive to get a bigger hdd to more than cover the space used.
It's a get out of jail free card for shit like this.
.
Just a thought, is this a HP laptop? I've had three HP laptops and they are great when they work but all three have died due to overheating.
