Can anyone explain all the ways nude & private photos/videos can be leaked?
I see all these threads on /b/ and sometimes hear news about famous people having their private photos leaked and wondered how do these happen.

Usually it's just sending to someone that you can't trust and then they leak it.
Sometimes it's an issue with a service (for example snapchat stores files when they are sent. Access to this was comprised at one point and a bunch of people got access to other people's snaps).
Sometimes people just forget to log out on a computer and someone else goes on and finds their stuff.
Mostly just people being stupid or trusting someone they shouldn't.

I see.
Technical ways of leaks?
Such as hacking, etc.

are you trying to steal pics from someone anon?

Nah, I respect a person's privacy.
This is one of the- shower thought questions.
Because I wonder if a hacker or something similar can really access a device's file-system and steal personal data such as media files. And if so, how do the recognize what's a casual meme pic and what's an actual private photo. How can they even monitor that.
Forgive me if I sound really amateur in this topic.
But I hope you get my queries.
Hope someone with a proper grasp in it can explain the technical part from top to bottom.

If someone can access their own files, then, yes, someone else can potentially access them. It doesn't even have to take a hacker. Something as simple as taking your computer to a repair shop exposes you.

THIS.
This has put me in the spot before. As a tech guy I'm requested by local folks to take a look at their laptops. Sometimes you check for malware or while making a back-up encounter nudes or shit. It's a matter of respecting that person's privacy and not sending those milf's selfies to your friends
As the leaking stuff goes I've heard some managed to pull iCloud backups from the cloud (yeah I know it sounds redundant) load them and go through media
