Not so good at colorizing, but I cleaned it up a little, if someone wants to do the coloring on this one.

He was the first one of my family members to die in ww2 and. He was in the German army and that's all I know really

That's a shame. Well, he is probably wearing M36 uniform due to the cut and the white buttons. His Waffenfarbe on the shoulder pads seems to have the same color as the uniform, so about this tone:

which suggests he was either Panzergrenadier (armored infantry) or a specialist officer. His rank was the equivalent of private.
