Can someone please recommend to me some animated feature films about life and stuff.

The Case of Hana and Alice.
Everyone who likes Only Yesterday likes Millenium Actress.

Is this yuri?
Please tell me this is yuri
>>18016
It's not.
Also, it's a prequel to a live action movie that came out like 10 year ago. It's pretty good, but they're cunts.
The Hana to Alice movies have fuck all on Iwai's All About Lily Chou-Chou though.

is it rotoscoped?
>>18344
Yep.
>>18344
Kinda.
It's not like potatoes of evil.

AnH's rotoscoping is only shit in the first few TV-released episodes.
The latter episodes are just beautiful, and the BD fixes everything that was shit when it aired.
... too bad the ending of the manga is shit. It should've ended right after the summer festival.

>animated feature films about life and stuff.
Is it okay if it fucks up your life and stuff potentially?
>>18505
yes

It's such a beautiful day.
Almost everything by Shinkai Makoto.

Life and stuff, not wallpapers and stuff.

Evangelion has some pretty interesting outlooks on life.

Welp, after like 10 years, now I know where "my anus is bleeding" comes from.
I think it was one of the first images I saved from 4chan.
A little bit late, but this movie is great no matter what time of year you watch it.
A good chunk of Summer Wars is about family and life in general, but probably not what you're looking for. Still a great film

It really confuses me when people use say this negatively. How is it a bad thing that he makes every frame so beautiful it could stand on its own. Why is it frowned upon to put effort into something.
>lol this guy is doing really good work, fuck him am I right
I mean, I know it's a meme, but it feels like there are people who genuinely look down on him because he makes all his movies beautiful. What kinda inferiority complex would you have to have to think like that.
