Been thinking about my dad a lot lately, and the kind of shit he liked to watch, specifically what anime he liked watching. Berserk, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell. I've never really been someone who has watched anime, nor have I ever finished one except Gundam Wing, but for some reason I feel compelled to now. So I'll probably start with these 3, and then branch out. So I'm asking for suggestions. I like Sci-Fi primarily, but if it's good it's good. Current shit on my list:

I'll probably rewatch Gundam Wing
Attack on Titan
Maybe Dragonball?

Also torrenting aside, is there a good free streaming site for this kind of stuff?

if you relay have to stream it there is kissanime but that's had some annoying pop ups recently, and if you relay want a legal streaming site there is crunchyroll or funimation

Don't bother, it's shit. You see it mentioned only because it was really popular because it hit the lowest common denominator of "anime fans".
I'd advise against watching Dragon Ball as well, read the manga if you really want. It's an okay shonen action adventure but you can use your time more productively watching something else.

There's a whole lot of what I'm sure is worthwile mecha out there but I'm not big into it so my exposure to the genre is limited
