Hi guys!
This is my first time on this board and I was first on /g/ but read the sticky and was told to go here. Anyways, I'm not good with computers and today, I got ddosed by an angry canadian's friend because I hurt him in CS:GO. I got my IP switched and I now wish to learn how to protect my Internet from these attacks. I went on youtube and I'm watching a series about something called "pfsense". Please, someone give me steps to help my safety with these ddos attacks.
Using a vpn might help unless they can ddos that too. If they're that good you're just fucked and need to stop making enemies online.

This guide should have the information you are looking for.
You don't need any "protection" if you don't want to get DDOSed. You just have to be smart.
They can get your IP through Skype. I would recommend not using it. Don't click random links you have never gone to. They can also get your IP. Don't join a voice server if you know that admins/mods are immature. They can also get your IP. Use that new thing that you games are using Discord or some shit.
This shit applies to viruses too. Don't open or download random files.
