hi, i am a person who is interested in voice recording creepypasta stories to upload on youtube
i got a really nice headset, but the only problem is that my computer doesnt recognize it, it seems. when i plug it in, it says that there is a device in the audio jack, but it doesnt really say what it is. i dont want to use the laptop microphone and ive tried almost everything to find the device, but i cant. i fucking hate windows 10 baka.
i dont really know how to solve this problem honestly, ive done almost everything i can think of, but i suppose asking here was my last resort and now i am very sad
would like help, admitting defeat
What's the model of the headset?

you fucked up.
anyway, first try to use a different set of headphones with your computer. then try using the skull candy ones with some other device. this is to check if either the port or the headphones' connector are faulty.
after that fails, just update your fucking drivers. and don't use any meme programs either, they're all shit. I use http://driveridentifier.com/

You can literally get desk microphones for 1gbp which have better recording quality than the one you bought.
Also, you might want to unplug your headset, then disable any microhpones still showing. This prevents conflicts.
