Picture not my computer.
>Desktop working perfectly normally, self built one just over 2 years old
>Suddenly just went off, electrics around house fine
>Desktop either powers on with fans running but no video output, sometimes has startup beep or other times just switches off instantly
>Reseated/alternated memory/graphics card no change
>stats will follow but generally just looking for advice

Go get a multimeter, and a PSU tester while you're at it.
