so, my computer started lagging frantically today and it took me 3 minutes to get here. i've rebooted my PC twice and now i've found that my bios reads at 100 C which is clearly too hot.
i built this pc nearly 2 years ago and i've had no problems since. any help?

Are you sure it says 100ÂșC? That's above emergency shutdown levels. If you read that right, there's probably something wrong with your BIOS or motherboard.
Check your currently running processes. If one in particular is taking up too much CPU time, kill that process. Check your hardware for accumulated dust and foreign matter.
Should that not solve the problem, replace the motherboard or take it to a repair shop.
ok so, i cleaned and reapplied some arctic silver and it seemed to maybe have helped a bit. i thoroughly cleaned my case as well, but still getting 70 celsius idle and mainboard reads perpetually 110 (which i think is a bug but whatever)
anyway theres not much heat that comes out of the cooler. im starting to think my motherboard is malfunctioning. any thoughts?
