Hi. I'm posting today in hopes of finding help with certain issues that bar my system from being a reliable gaming computer. I thank all help and input given from those who contribute.
Allow me to start off with system specs.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L
PSU: Corsair CX750
GPU: MSI NVIDIA GTX 960 4GB OC
RAM: 8GB DDR2
OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1
Over the weekend, I installed a brand new video card (MSI GTX 960) as well as the PSU (Corsair CX750). Before these upgrades were installed, I had a PNY NVIDIA 9800GT video card and a 350w PSU. The system would play games, but with bad framerates and poor texture rendering. Since I've installed the new card, the games play at an excellent quality and rate, but crash after a few minutes of play. I've tried moving all graphics settings to medium on every game I've tried, but with no improvement. There are no over clock settings enabled on the card. I uninstalled all NVIDIA applications and drivers, then manually reinstalled the most current available driver recommended on NVIDIA's website, this did not help.
Additionally, I have also noticed my system to get a BSOD upon crash or even when exiting a game after a few minutes play. The code given was 0x0000003B. Microsoft has a hotfix that I have already attempted, and I still get the error at times.
I hope the fix is a simple one. I am at a loss. I've played with oc settings and all texture settings. I haven't under clocked but I don't think it could be a help in this case.
Thanks in advance to any help given!
i would try using a software like driver sweeper or display driver uninstaller and then reinstall the latest drivers. you might try beta drivers if you haven't already.
