my mom bought me a keyboard and i can't find the correct keyboard layout.
i'm using the english (united states) US keyboard as my current configuration.
the keyboard is not matching the accent, instead i get a apostrophe '
does anyone know the specific keyboard layout for the keyboard (hp elite wireless v2)

that's just the font my dude, i have a us laptop and the key to the left of enter does both the double apostrophe " as well as a single apostrophe '

my bad, i know what you're talking about now.
assuming you're using windows, if you go into the settings and look for "input methods", you'll find a place to change keyboard layouts.
just add the united states international qwerty layout, then it'll add an icon to switch layouts to your task bar.
now you can type accented shit by typing the accent first then the letter, so for à you hit the accent by 1 then a
