Hey guys, I've been having some problems with my mouse and keyboard for a couple months now, searched on google, and really have no idea what's wrong.
Randomly my mouse and keyboard will stop responding (sometimes it's just my mouse and it comes back after a little), and I'll be required to replug them. It's not all USB devices because my controller will function just fine even when my mouse and keyboard aren't working.
I'm on windows 7 64 bit, tried removing outdated usb devices from my system, have a logitech g500 mouse, and some random hp keyboard.
Pic totally unrelated.
You try fresh batteries?

I'm going to assume this is some sort of joke since there are no batteries on a desktop.

I assumed they were wireless. My bad.

download this and remove everything www.nirsoft.net/utils/usbdeview-x64.zip
go to device manager, universal series bus controllers and unninstall everything that says "usb root hub" if any left.
reboot pc and try the keyboard and mouse again. come back with results

2 things
Uninstalling the root hubs with my mouse and keyboard connected obviously makes them not function and unable to "reboot" without just killing it.
Uninstalling the usb root hubs just causes the machine to reinstall them after a little.

that's the point. reinstalling.
