Another anon with a sauce request. I am certain this girl is from that new Xenoblade game, but I can't find shit on Danbooru, Pixiv or DA and reverse image search ain't bringing up anything either. Why is that?!
>>12515
What are you trying to find? The source of that image? Or are you implying you can't find anything about that girl on those sites?
Because /g/ is being useless for anything except dark memes (as usual), I am turning to you /wsr/. Please, don't make this end up as yet another 0 reply shout in the dank.
So my current situation is:
>currently running an old HDD with Windows 7 Home (preinstalled shit)
>got a new SSD, currently have both together
>have a Debian boot USB stick ready for emergency cases
>have a Windows 7 Ultimate iso at disposal, but no DVD drive.
I'd like to make the SSD dual boot with Win 7 Ultimate and Debian. What would be the best course of action to do this? I already know that Windows should be installed first because it's a retarded piece of shit, but other than that? Is it true that I should disconnect my HDD before installing Windows on an SSD?
Install gentoo
If you have the HDD in the disc might try to repair your windows install instead of installing fresh on the ssd. Can't hurt to take it out but it probably doesn't matter.
When you install it'll ask you to partition, so partition, and then you can install Debian on second boot
>>12414
Dank
Yes, disconnect the HDDs you're not using while installing Win7, make sure to leave enough unpartitioned room for Debian.
Use this tool to install Win7 onto a USB

Hey, just started getting into anime and I found this Usagi Drop one. It was really nice and quiet, which doesn't seem to be the norm from what I've gathered.
So I was wondering if anyone knew of any other animes like it. Something that isn't about combat or ancient supernatural stuff threatening the world.
I generally don't like all that "kawai" and yelly humour where they go all chibi looking or whatever. But I can let it slide if it's not constant.
Thanks for reading and possibly responding.
You're right that it's not exactly common, but yeah, there's a fair amount of calmer anime out there. Look into something called Mushishi, I think that'd be right up your alley.
>>8578
Thank you, the streaming site I use seems to have all the content. I'll get on that right away.
Then my brother says I should watch Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Non Non Biyori is a good relaxed anime
Also don't read the Usagi Drop manga if you were thinking of it.
Requesting anime girls in real life backgrounds.

I have been using win7 since 2010, never bothered to even have a look at Win 8/8.1/10 and for the first time i want to try upgrading to one of them.
I'd like to hear opinions on win8.1/10 that don't involve installing gentoo.
How bloated are them?
Is the botnet as big of a deal as /g/ makes it out to be and how hard is it to remove/keep under control?
Are they as straight forward to use as win7?
Do they offer major performance increases for vidya and the likes?
Most importantly, is there a real reason to leave win7 behind?
What has been your experience with them?
Any issues that are not necessarily fatal but that can get annoying? (ie. can't fully disable mouse accel and things of the sort)
>>13235
>How bloated are them?
Not at all. W10 has a smaller footprint than W7, and has modern technologies that W7 doesn't, such as compressed swap.
>Is the botnet as big of a deal as /g/ makes it out to be and how hard is it to remove/keep under control?
No, /g/ are just being sperglords. It doesn't do anything that Steam, iOS, Chrome or Android doesn't do.
It sends crash reports back to developers, just like Steam, iOS and Android.
If you turn on Cortana, it sends your searches to the interwebs, just like Siri and Hey Google.
It distributes updates P2P, just like Steam, WoW, Vuze.
>Are they as straight forward to use as win7?
Yes.
>Do they offer major performance increases for vidya and the likes?
No, but they're less bloated and slightly faster in general.
>Most importantly, is there a real reason to leave win7 behind?
W7 is EOL, and doesn't natively support AHCI or USB3. This is only going to get worse as more technologies come along and it remains EOL.
>What has been your experience with them?
Fine. I pressed upgrade and everything just worked.
>Any issues that are not necessarily fatal but that can get annoying? (ie. can't fully disable mouse accel and things of the sort)
Mouse accel only applies to the desktop: games get unfiltered mouse events through DirectInput, and have since Windows 95.
>>13287
This is all for Win10, right?
>>13324
There's absolutely no reason to use 8, because 10 is 8, except done better.
Plus 8 costs money and 10 is free.
/his/ didn't help, so I'll try here.
I'm writing a play and I thought I would get some dramaturgy work over here. It's going to take place on a Southern US farm after WWII. A few questions:
What was the economic state of agriculture around that time?
What were some illnesses that were common?
Were black maids present in this time period?
>>12795
Black maids are present in every period mate.
Agriculture was doing fine, like the rest of the economy it was booming thanks to new technologies and demand for food from starving Europeans.
Don't know about illnesses.
>>12795
A quick Google search said that polio was an issue aroumd 1950. Also any disease that hadn't been cured yet would work. And if all else fails, just use influenza
Anyone have any cool scanned anime cels? Post them here.
>>12687
This thread is relevant to my interests.
I only have key frames. Lurking though.
http://www.animanga.com/cels/gallery/
Low quality due to age, but it's a fairly large gallery AFAIK.
For example, Fafner, which is ending this week.
Stuff about teenage pilots, cool drama, and fighting aliens or weird assimilation enemies.
Rahxephon. Literally eva.
>>12684
Seconded.
Eureka Seven, Gurren Lagann, Bokurano, Aquarion, Zegapain.
I was thinking of watching Bokurano or RahX. Not sure which. I watched the first 2 episodes of RahX and liked the girls, but the weird Egyptian shit turned me off. Does it get better?
