The elevator didn't go down. The game sent the player up, they clipped through the asset, then arrived at the proper door to get to the next area. How the devs managed to fuck it up that way is beyond me, but this is Bethesda.

The thing is, the common Elder Scrolls / Fallout Player is quite used to it.

Love the game so far.

That said my character got stuck behind the overseers desk in the first vault 20 minutes into the game. The stone quarry next to sanctuary looks like a blurry, glitched out mess and stop signs textures would look embarrassing on a playstation 2. I'm playing on ultra on a nice rig.

Dude, that happened to me down in the Glowing Sea. I was adventuring around and trying to find Virgil, when I stumbled across a random raider. I aimed on him with VATS and then when trying to execute my attack, I went flying across the world to the other side, hit the ground, and died immediately.
