It was made an anime in 2007.

It had one season and only had two soundtrack for the first 15 episode (26 in all).

People say the art style (for the manga) for the characters are as bad, or worse, than Initial D; frankly, I don't really give a shit about how the characters look as long as the cars are good.

I'm focusing on Wangan Midnight for the moment because there's hardly any compared to Initial D.

I've just finished the GTR arc (ep 7-10) and about to work on Supra arc (11-14).

Once I'm finished with the series, I might give Initial D the same treatment starting with 2nd stage (only have soft subs for 1st stage).

The most popular hooning cars, in the U.K, are usually Jap, German or French. Fords will get thrashed, but you don't see many car guys with them.

sorry about the vibration noise. i just installed new more solid race-ready motor mounts and this is the first time i checked my dashcam vids since them. apparently the added vibration is destroying the sound quality on my cam so im gonna have to find a new solution.

anyway i raced and destroyed a new a7 last night. thought they were faster than this. they have the same supercharged v6 as the s4, but i guess theyre a lot heavier so theyre just2slow.

vid is kinda lame, but you can see his headlights next to me as he tried to race me. he got a decent head start and then i gunned it right as he was about a car length or two behind me. we were side by side for a couple seconds before i pulled on him and he backed off when i was around 120 or so.

heres one from before i did most of the work on my car. was only running about a high-13 at this point. after i got home this day i ordered a new turbo and threw it in the next weekend. been looking for the guy for a rematch ever since but havent had any luck.

dude was driving a cls550 which has a 400hp twin turbo v8. stock specs from car and driver list it at 4.2s 0-60 and 12.8 @ 112mph 1.4 mile, so itd be a damn good race now.

nah man. that video was from a while ago so im going from memory here, but i probably started around 75, had gunned it just as i passed the truck at the beginning of the vid, and was just jokingly racing the buick on the right. he was going for it too, we were messing around just for fun for like half an hour.

anyway by the time the merc passed me i was going about 120ish as i remember topping out a few seconds later around 125. he was going 140+ easy. dude was hauling. we both thumbsed up each other a little later.

i passed him maybe 30 secs before this and then be blows by me full throttle. i gave him a few seconds head start, accelerated a bit, laid off, then gunned it once i was safely passed the white van. i think i was going about 135-140 as i passed him cause when i looked down a few seconds later i was at 145.

thanks. in the first one at the drag strip you cant see the guy im racing because he ran like a 14-something so he was a good 15 car lengths behind me. in the second one you cant see him because he never got in front of me as well. thats the downfall of only having a front-facing dashcam unfortunately.

if i did more of this stuff id consider an additional side-facing setup but if i drove like this often enough to justify that then i wouldnt have my license for much longer.

i have more vids just hooning around by myself but theyre a lot less interesting to watch as its really difficult to get a good sense of speed with the ultra wide angle lens on my cam. like in the accord vid i hit 145 but youd never know it by just looking at the vid. i have an nhra helmet i have to wear at the track.

if i got really ambitious i could mount a gopro to it and get my speedo in frame as well as looking over to see the other cars im racing. probably wont bother going that far with it though cause like i said i dont race many people around town often. gotta save that shit for the track.

Oddly funny though, the official OST of 1st Stage doesn't have this version but the unremixed original one. No idea why the anime used a remixed version and put the original in the OST discs.
