For me almost all of them are overproduced vanity projects. Too clean, too well recorded, too well rehearsed.

Intentional ASMR (that isn't either what you described or soft-core porn) is primarily triggered by immersive personal attention. When they are just talking to or massaging a person, a 3Dio or any speaker in front of or slightly off to the side of the fucking camera where my hearing feels "disembodied" relative to my POV, it might be relaxing, at most, but I won't experience ASMR. Counter-intuitively, I find the fact that I CAN'T see them and I'm just looking at a plain backdrop during, for example, an ear exam with an otoscope actually ADDS to the immersion.

True ASMR inducing videos are far and few between but a few channels that trigger me best are some of Calmingescape's medical or massage roleplays, JellyBean Green NOT JellyBean, LloydASMR, Kamen Whispers, some of MassageASMR's and EphemeralRift's non-artsy vids. Rhosgobel Rabbit, ASMR Attack and WhispersRed. The prod quality varies especially with Calmingescape's but it just "werks". "Haul","OOTD", tapping on random stuff is lazy shit that is probably the cause of the sterile, lifeless experience you have had recently.

Just to add, I've been watching ASMR since it became a thing and never experienced the drug-like "tolerance building" that I've seen mentioned. It's like music, if you listen to the same song too many times, your reptilian brain will be too aware that you are watcing a video and you will lose the immersion and novelty. Both of which are key to a strong experience.
Unfortunately, I believe that most people getting introduced to ASMR these days don't know what it is, they either see wacking material or are conflating ASMR with simple relaxation. Eh, semantics. I'm defining intentional as an awareness of inducing ASMR, to some extent, by the creator. The video you posted IS intentional. The most recognizable example of unintentional ASMR, via video, is Bob Ross' show. Some others might include videos of pencil sketching, someone explaining their labwork, sushi making and artisan soap making.

Here's an example of unintentional ASMR, one of the very first videos that triggered ASMR for me. It's showcasing and explaining, that at the time was the newish and obscure tech of "binaural audio" before it blew up into what it is today.

The audio isn't great and she occasionally stammers and there's background noise (cars, house noise), but her videos helped me study in the Uni library and write many papers and relax before tests, and what I liked about them was that it was all completely unintentional. She just had a naturally soft, relaxing voice, with a somewhat shy tone to it, and she just made technical tutorials about meaningless stuff she liked. Now all the videos I watch are with hi-fidelity dual microphones and post-processing cleanup and really banal subjects, it's all so technical and overproduced.

Thanks for the observation, I had all the pieces but couldn't make a picture out of them until now, and it was bugging me. Personally every ASMR experience I've had is linked with the mentioned personal attention and getting relaxed. Intentional or not, doesn't matter.
The conclusion I've came to is binaural audio with a really low background noise helps because you're tricked there's someone friendly behind. Softspoken and relaxed narrative also helps a lot, but affection usually ruins it, it's getting too aggressive. Also, I usually can't get anything when the sound source is in front without a matching visual. In other cases visuals only distract me, probably they make it harder to trick the brain. Not mentioning random clicks. It may be relaxing but it's not 'it'.
I think the first experiences (or something very very similar) I had was back in school. It was always on one particular boring lesson when my classmate took my pencil case out of boredom and slowly scribbled something on it. It was also relaxed, quiet, only with the teacher speaking. He had a toned down voice and I could hear the sound of scribbling. I'm sure it wouldn't happen if it wasn't my pencil case.
