One thing I noticed when watching this, as well as K-on, is that the bands portrayed in the series only have like 1 or 2 songs written. It just seems so weird, like do japs go to concerts/festivals where each bands plays like 2 songs and then is done with their set? At the very least a band will go through an entire CD of songs. Usually they don't start playing gigs for money until they have at least a whole CD written with several songs.

I get it takes a lot of time and money to make anime, but why make an anime about a music group when you're only going to actually have them write a single song or two? What do the bands play when up on stage, covers of other songs? Or do they really get on stage and sing 2 songs and then walk off?
