To get impeached the dems would need to control Congress and that would not guarantee he would be removed from office. It would cause more social upheaval to remove trump than to beat him in an election or wait for him to finish his term limit.
>>
>>1769826
You're assuming that Republicans wouldn't vote against him as well, which I think is kind of folly.

Though I do agree with you, impeachment isn't likely to happen unless a conspiracy theory happens to be right for once. It's far more likely that he'll just slowly lose credibility when he fails to deliver on his promises, until Republicans not happy with him feel like they can safely ignore him. Without a united majority, he'll just end up accomplishing nothing of note and just lose his reelection.

The real question will be if he can keep blaming everyone else for his failures.
>>
>>1769836
The Republicans voting against him to impeach would be the downfall of the party as it currently stands and would guarantee at least another 12 years of Democrats controlling the presidency aswell as winning back majorities in Congress.

What's folly are library's thinking the Republicans will shoot themselves in the foot on purpose.
>>
>>1769836
His base sees congress as the problem and not him. They are largely right. Career politicians are the bane of democracy.
>>
>>1769842
I wonder about that. If it's cast more as "bipartsian effort to remove a dude clearly not only incapable of doing the job, but also cheating to get there", and make some deals with the Dems to keep them from taking advantage of the situation to hammer them so hard, I think they could spin it in such a way to avoid losing too much.

>>1769844
Just because they're all Republicans doesn't mean they're required to agree on everything. People always make the claim that politicians are corrupt, and the government can certainly have issues with it, but how many politicians, red or blue, can you really show that aren't acting in the interest of their voters? They might not always do exactly what's asked of them, and they might make deals and shit, but how many truly just ignore the people that voted them in?
>>
>>1769846

Trump's voting base sees a president that's trying but being impeded by congress. Trump keeps firing out executive orders but when he has to do anything with congress half a year flies by and still no progress.
>>
>>1769856
No, I get that, I'm just curious at how long he can point at them as the entire problem without people starting to wonder if he doesn't have a share of the blame as well.

There's also the issues of blaming the congress his party controls is going to start being bad for republican seats. Dems keep their base by opposing him, so the blame is going to fall on Republicans for obstructing him, and that's going to split the base. Not every Republican is 100% Trump, after all, and given that the Republicans who have stalling the votes often have some valid concerns, I don't see why they'd take Trumps side over theirs.
>>
>>1769875
His supporters are results based and actions speak louder than words types. They aren't coming to these conclusions because of where he points his finger but how events are unfolding.

Dems won't keep their base because those who actually voted for them aren't reactionary extremists. Dems aren't solving the problem. Their base will see that. MSM thinks violent activists are the dems' base but they don't even vote.

The Republicans stalling the votes by and large have not had valid reasons. They keep obstructing and moving goal posts. It is becoming clearer they stand for nothing like many of the dems.

You seem to be under the impression that republicans is in some way in the negative after the election.
Republican president.
Republican house.
Republican congress.
Republicans heavy weights in power positions in the Trump admin
Another Republican supreme judge thanks to Trump's election win.
Republicans keep winning "special elections" that dems spent tens of millions to win to bolster their stance.
Etc etc etc.

Anyone thinking republicans would even consider THINKING about impeaching Trump have watched too much MSM.
He will never be impeached, never. The false stories about Trump that dems with the media kept spreading put a nail in that coffin. Dems made the democratic party into a crying leftist shithole and will make more NORMAL americans leave the party before the next election.

Also, what exactly is his current "failures"?
Stock market at all-time highs, unemployment rate falling, confidence in american economy at all-time highs, confidence in Trump admin amongst small businesses skyrocketed, etc etc.
You're just under the illusion that americans dislikes Trump, do you live in Europe or California?

Technically speaking impeachment is worthless. It's a political process that doesn't really do anything. However due to technical loop holes Trump can be put in front of a military court due to the commander in chief position still retaining a military commander's seat. He can also be tried in individual states and Federal court which is the legal process.

It doesn't help that he told Putin he's going to end the Russia inquiry as part of the joint deal promise which is actual collusion and obstruction of justice.

Special counsel has two treason prosecutors with one being military, an espionage prosecutor, the number one terrorism prosecutor in the nation, an expert in money laundering and bank fraud, and a prosecutor who's an expert in digital data destruction and manipulation.

Conservatives have overplayed their hand on "fake news". Fox is a propaganda outlet of the Trump administration spewing lies. Fox has the right to say it but you need to be smart enough to know its bullshit.

I feel like these are turning into religious debates where we provide evidence and we know your side is bullshit so no sources are expected. How about you link some sources? I would love to find out where Trump supporters are getting all this bullshit info.

Fun fact:
Someone obviously had a ball scripting this speech (held in front of a hand-picked audience, carted in from all across the coutnry) and yet didn't consider that mentioning Lech Wałesa might not sit too well with the Polish government with which they definitely wanted Trump to pull off the good old "best buddy" act. Awkward!

Good thing they didn't send him to Turkey first. While big ol' Recep is definitely a man after Donald's fancy, he's also wayyy more sensitive about certain matters than Mr Duda ever will be.

>Oh you think that CNN is shit? You must watch fox news you dumb republishit!

>>
>>1774872
Perhaps you missed the point that the audience he was adressing was well aware that Donald Trump doesn't give a rodent's rear about open borders and global citizenry.

Also considering Trump's scripted speeches as more substantial than his permanent outpour of ad-hoc brainfarts is a pointless effort. Not only does it amount to little more than putting lipstick on a pig, it also means having to put up with and trying to justify him contradicting himself on everything he said just a couple of days prior – ask Sean Spicer, he'll know.

Oh and by the way, since I already mentioned Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan: That's a guy who used to LOVE the idea of open borders. Really. It's true. As long as the option still presented itself to him, that is.
The point here being: Speaking in favour of any given sort of open borders-policy (yadda yadda yadda) does NOT, in fact, equal an appeal to global citizenry – which is an ideology, not a policy.

tl;dr: Warsaw speech means jack shit.

This guy seems to represent a political position I had deemed nonexistent in the US these days. Namely the "fuck your left-vs-right-hijinks"-sort of centrism... that's actually fairly commonplace in more civilised parts of the world.

But then again, in these parts, what the US commonly refers to as "left-wing" would be called "elitist feelgood-hypocrisy" and what is known as "right-wing" in the US would be called "fascistoid backwards retardation".

NPR and Fox are the same side of the same coin. You're not any more informed than anyone.

A mass movement must begin in America where only candidates who vow to draft a new constitution outlawing capitalism are voted for. This is, literally, the only chance of survival for human civilization.

America was formed as an answer to the oppression of mercantilism which was a proto-socialist system. It was named capitalism after the fact but it is actually the natural order of society if not interfered with. Your issue is with monopolies and corporations which violate capitalism by concentrating resources, power, and control in fewer and fewer hands like socialism, mercantilism, and communism.

Exactly this is the problem. There has been a recent push for "Alternate facts". People like NPR are trying to get everyone on the same page for what is going on in the world and places like Fox keep pushing "Birther Moment" and "Pizza Gate". Fox is out for a political agenda and how Republicans use it, it shows.

And guess who Trump promotes almost every day using official white house statements, its the fucking Pizza gate guys.

I honestly do not think there is anything solid that is going to come out of the Russia thing, but holy shit Trump camp STOP LYING! >>
>>1781595
>>1781693
Yes and no.
Firstly: There still is a political center. It's just prone to getting shouted down from either the left or the right.

Secondly, you have to take the reverse perspective here as well:
What's deemed 'left-wing' or even just 'left-leaning' in other parts of the world – especially Europe – would normally be deemed downright 'socialist' in the US, whereas what is known as 'right-wing' in those parts, would probably be called 'libertarian' in the US.

And given the state of the US Libertarian Party and expressly 'left-wing' minor parties, it's fair to say that there's little love for such positions among the general populace. Rather surprisinly in case of the Libertarian Party, not so suprisingly regarding other parties.

"Surprsingly", I say? – Here's the thing though:
Ever since the days of F.D. Roosevelt, American goverment work as whole has been so closely intermingled with economics (and, by extension, lobbying) that there's actually little need for something like a Libertarian Party i.e. a party that's solely based on economic considerations.

And that's the boon and bane of the United States' political system as a whole. The result being that social issues are usually treated in a "quick and dirty" manner or simply brushed aside entirely by ALL parties.

Hence, a centrist approach, trying to balance hierarchism and equalism, will invariably sway towards one side or another on any given crucial issue.

I agree with most of what you say. The parties seem to have shifted though and I cannot tell what Republicans stand for and thus what Democrats as well. Honestly Trump would have done better as a democrat with trade, healthcare, and international relations.

What I want to find out is if we can split and reform the party ideals with one side as more internally focused and the other as world citizen. Our system is good because we give both sides a chance to test ideas and the other keeps the good while chunking down the bad. A multi party state does not work as it splits the ideals and the vocal minority gets even more power. I also like voting for a person over a party and multi party states cant seem to do that.

International citizen party would have: McCain, Obama, Ryan, and Graham.

The internal party has Trump, Sanders, Waters, and Paul.

Not sure if democrat wanting to disassociate himself from nazis or conservative neo nazi wanting to affirm that nazis agreed with your political ideology.

Either way though, nazi is an acronym that one word of is literally "socialist". Albeit extremely nationalist, which in current times isn't usually associated with the left, is not inherent to just the right either.

Nazis were by definition quite leftist, and in case you're a left leaning individual wanting to disassociate yourself, know that any political party is capable of horrible things and that doesn't change their party title to the one you don't agree with.

And in case you're a far right nationalist with racist tendencies, grow the fuck up. You make your political party look bad.

This is some bullshit logic that only the left supports dictatorships with the Nazi's and communists. They are so different ideals in so different environments their is no comparison.

Communists wanted everyone to be an equal working for the state. They also wanted to subjugate the world under Stalin's rule.

Nazis wanted to take over the world and make it white by killing and enslaving the other races.

The Left wants more social equality. The Right wants more social morals and choice. Neither describe either party in the United States. Not even close. Stop trying to push a bad narrative.
>>
>>1783316
>>1783324

Well, yes. With the dissolution of every political party, including the Socialist party, and the persecution of Bolshevists, Marxists, Leninsts and Socialists, socialism as a whole was in fact outlawed.
To quote Hitler himself on the whole "Yes, we're totally left-wing" issue:
"The fact that we had chosen red as the colour for our posters sufficed to attract them [leftists] to our meetings. The ordinary bourgeoisie were very shocked to see that, we had also chosen the symbolic red of Bolshevism and they regarded this as something ambiguously significant.
The suspicion was whispered in German Nationalist circles that we also were merely another variety of Marxism, perhaps even Marxists suitably disguised, or better still, Socialists. The actual difference between Socialism and Marxism still remains a mystery to these people up to this day. The charge of Marxism was conclusively proved when it was discovered that at our meetings we deliberately substituted the words ‘Fellow-countrymen and Women’ for ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ and addressed each other as ‘Party Comrade’. We used to roar with laughter at these silly faint-hearted bourgeoisie and their efforts to puzzle out our origin, our intentions and our aims.
We chose red for our posters after particular and careful deliberation, our intention being to irritate the Left, so as to arouse their attention and tempt them to come to our meetings – if only in order to break them up – so that in this way we got a chance of talking to the people."
>>
>>1783324

note how i said modern? it's easier for us stupid peoples to comprehend, changing the scope to all of human history is abit of over reach and irrelevent

if they suspended democracy for the greater good of the social unit, with a single figurehead, isn't that by definition the description of a socialist environment? key word is greater good for society (socialism) rather than individual freedoms (i.e. the freedom to become president)

And I bet he believes it too. The problem is his goal is to troll and not to convince anyone. About 1/3 of each party has a group you cannot convince no matter what. They are the scum of the earth and my goal is to energise them to the point they start spewing their beliefs to chase out the moderates who do care.

Nazis weren't anti-capitalist. They were anti-semitic, that's all. Non-jewish private enterprises thrived under nazi rule and remained privately owned.

Logic has no place with them. Trump could literally start rounding up Jews into camps and he would still call the left Nazis and believe it.

>socialism
from wikipedia:
Social ownership (of the means of production) is the common element shared by its various forms

it must be difficult to realize you are that which you claim to oppose, but we live in a world of doublethink as prophecised by the great communist political prisoner orwell
>>
>>1783410
>Nazis weren't anti-capitalist.
Yes they were.
>>
>>1783408
Uhmm. No. Actually communist ideas derived from the early socialist movement of the french revolution. Learn a bit about history before making such claims. Marx didn't invent communism and Lenin didn't invent socialism, you know.
>>
>>1783415
Nope. Ask the heirs of Krupp, BASF and all other private companies that really got going under the nazis.

Afraid so. Just because they didn't take over every single private business doesn't mean they didn't like capitalism.

Come on. Do you honestly think extra regulations, required separation of business units, public disclosures, Sherman Anti-Trust Act, and creation of public utilities is the same thing as making things owed solely by the state?

Total control by the state is not any mainstream American political goals. The Left's goal is preventing monopolies from stopping other people from entering the market.
>>
>>1783426
Well yes. Also jewish-owned companies didn't fall under direct nazi rule either. They got "arisiert" - "aryanized" remained in private ownership by their new, "aryan" proprietors.

Anyone who has been keeping up with his Russian scandals knows that, while there isn't a smoking gun yet; there is definitely enough there to merit an investigation. An investigation that could find the President guilty of collusion with the Russians during the election. If that's found to be true, he's fucked

Clinton requested documents from an embassy that were part of an official investigation – note that it was Paul Manafort who was being investigated there, not Trump himself – whereas Trump Jr. strived to obtain materials gathered through illegal means, namely an attack aimed directly at Donald Trump's political opponent.

Official government records vs. stolen data – bit of a difference I'd say.
Not that I'd necessary approve of Clinton's actions there but she was a government official requesting official data, whereas Donnie Jr. was a rich daddy's son looking for stolen dirt.

You also seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of history, as while it was the "republican party" that freed the slaves, it most certainly was not the conservatives. Also, if your only claim to fame is an accomplishment around 150 years ago, maybe don't tout that to happily, as that means you have no other things to add to the list. Conservatism bleeds the poor, and liberalism bleeds the rich. The right is concerned with the glory of the past, and the left is focused on the future.

what's white privilege then if not moral justification for the dehumanization and systematic bias against white people ?

you are also lucky to be in an environment where you could be a ceo or an astronaut without being connected to the authoritarian ruling class that comes with "socialist" states
>>
>>1783934
So far, the right has been far more concerned – almost obsessed – with terms like 'white privilege', 'male privilege' etc. than any left-wing group I've ever known, barring bleeding-heart SJWs maybe.
Only bleeding-heart SJWs never had a particularily strong lobby. Not even when Obama was still in office.

But I'm sure you're eager to tell me about all the laws, regulations and policies signed, passed and enacted by the Obama administration in order to remove the ruling white upper class from power.

The right is being poked because they control both houses of congress, the President, the Supreme Court, and most local governments. There isn't much to poke on the left and the right will not stop shitting it's own pants and pass legislation.

>>1783934
Yes we can all agree "white privilege" is racist as fuck. But the Democrats are running on a platform of everyone competing on a equal footing. It is the SJW's that want a race war.

But, Holy Shit, none of that matters because Republicans are in power and let's watch them fail at passing healthcare. Or in what way will Trump use nepotism to give us a case study on why that's a terrible idea. Or who will be fired/resign for telling Trump a hard truth.
