While I appreciate the effort and passion that went into making the game, and even admitting that I couldn't do any better, one small feature just completely broke the game to me: the sound design.

The usage of retro gameboy era visuals and assets, paired with modern music inpired from the prime games and general up to date production techniques. And then back to retro with the sound effects.

I felt it sorely missed chip music and this made irritable at what seemed to me a very gross mismatch, and I just gave up on the game entirely because of this.

ffmpeg is giving me a hard time, I haven't figured it out completely.

For some reason, when I try to crop and resolution scale at the same pass, it defaults to a portion of the video in the first quadrant, completely different from the crop area I defined.

I'll see what I can do, or if doing one process at a time solves the issue.

If you can, I recommend that you play the dolphin enhanced version. Some areas like Sky Town benefit greatly from it. Anti-aliasing alone makes it much more pleasant.

I made that webm to showcase the improvements made possible by emulation by the gains it provides. Is like peeking into a remastered version of the game.
In this case, just providing a resolution bump to the rendering already makes it look massively better, as it allows details that could not be resolved to come out. The caveat is that if exposes some of the low-res assets, like the door sprites.

Hopefully in the future we'll see the same case with Federation Force and Citra. It also makes me hopeful for hd remaster of the original trilogy. If that were to be the case I predict Nintendo could announce this maybe at E3 next year to fill the development time gap of the Prime 4 game. That's just wishful thinking of course.
