That cartoon just decimated anything else that was on air at the time, hard to even believe it was 1985. Seems a bit trite now, but given that everything else was Thundarr the Barbarian level and below, it just had a quality and depth unlike anything else on the air - which includes pretty much all the adult sci-fi programming.

It would have been nice if it had set the bar for the new standard, but sadly, we expose our kids to primarily cheap poisonous shit to this day.
