Yup, the thing about hallucinogens that can never be undone, is they fundamentally shatter your innate 'knowledge of reality'.

By which I mean the way I intuitively know that everything I see and hear is real. I've only taken hallucinogens once, but it was a 10-strip of LSD. I came out of the trip a different person in many ways, and in many ways a much more successful person. I never did drugs after that, and my life is going well now, but I lay awake at night every night wondering if any of this is real.

Basically LSD takes the philosophical concept of Solipsism and makes it painfully and abundantly clear to you. So while many people seem to forget about LSD the next day like 'lol dude shit was crazy', for me it made everything forever a little uncomfortable. Like having a mild never ending existential crisis.
