It's kind of repetitive but it does evolve slowly, and it's meant to be background music. I also have a few alternate versions. The story for the song is, this character was the main character's wife, and continued to care for his children after he died. She volunteered to go on a mission to stop a superweapon that would have destroyed their city, and was wounded by a mortar in the battle. She kept fighting and ended up pinned down and shot six or seven times while fighting off a dozen enemy soldiers, and the other character with her whose PoV it is, is also pinned down and only hears her shooting and swearing at the enemy soldiers and crying out in pain when she gets hit. Then they finally kill them all and he drags her out of the tower and into the trenches where she bleeds to death.
