George Winston, I think the track is called Thanksgiving, the album December (a little silly I know, that's how I remember it). I don't see this one posted often.

Don't know why but today I logged into my yahoo mail account from 2005. Spam galore, but in the folders, the emails from when I was a kid were still there. I read one in particular. From before I had a phone. It was from the first person who I loved and loved me back. There it was, crisp and clear as the day I first read it. So warm, so compassionate. That stupid font we would type in. Feels were too heavy, then I read the date it was sent to me - 7/12/2007 - fucking why man... 10 years to the day almost. The memories of what we were together. The joy, the anger, hate, depression, angst, fear. Her smile, her laugh. Then the final end. I made her a promise that I couldn't keep. She killed herself in December 2007. I found her. Such is life. I questioned how long I would last for many years. Life continues though, you just try to keep up. You have other loves. But you always wonder what could have been different, how one decision could have changed things. I don't know how I got here to this day. She would be 27 this year. The world always forgets you in the end and passes you by I guess. We are all destined to be standing alone in a cold and wet world watching it go by without us.
