She didn't die. When she was making those videos back in 2010 (I remember listening to one of them right before my eye surgery) she was a newlywed.

Back when ASMR was not that popular, her husband had found out that she's doing this kind of videos and thought that she's basically whoring herself on the internet (which is basically what most of female asmr chicks are doing). He told her to stop making that kind of videos which she agreed to do because he was apparently pretty serious about it.

adding onto this, for asmr especially I really recommend Circumaural headphones (full sized, that go around the whole ear) rather than what the other anon recommended (over-ear, which only sit on top of your ear rather than wrapping around it).

As for what you want, that depends on how much you are willing to spend. In my own case I spend most of my day on my ass under headphones so I invested in some $130 ones. I don't even use normal speakers, so for me it's well worth the price. That being said, there are still nice headphones for a cheaper price as well, and you will notice the difference regardless because earbuds are shit in general desu
