Not the guy berating you but his two complaints are of the watermark due to your source being a streaming site and the use of a 1080p webm.

By using that resolution you are sacrificing bitrate to keep the filesize within limits leading to artifacting (see the edges around all the floating pots, its a general blocky look).
Also not everyone has a 1080 screen. Those of us on laptops with 1366x768 or with 1680x1050 monitors find it annoying to open these as we need to then take the browser out of full screen and resize the window.

I disagree, a lot of dubs are genuinely worse, I generally find that higher budget western cartoons tend to have pretty good voice acting(simpsons, a lot of cartoon network shows, ghibli dubs, and a lot of looney tunes/mel blanc come to mind). Dubs are just niche and a lot of times made by no-name production companies with people who can't change their voice to suit a character so they all sound like 20-somethings from LA. A lot of japanese voice acting isn't great, the squeaky voice being forced happens a lot like you mentioned, but western dubs are particularly bad even when compared against western voice acting.

As somebody who understands Japanese, you're full of shit. They put way more effort into their voice work most of the time, you only see bad Japanese voice work if you go back to like the early 90s or 80s when you had more no name productions being made, or if they're using rookie seiyu. But American voice work is hampered by a lack of coherent voice direction and a tiny pool of talent to choose from. There's also the fact that in Japan, the anime's director and even the original author of the work its adapted from get to pick the seiyuu who voice the characters. There's a lot of collaboration to get voices that fit. You don't get that for the English version, they just slap whoever they have available onto the characters and 99% of the time can't even be bothered to get the pronunciation of names right. It's lazy.

Think I'd have to mostly agree with this anon. in the end its about if the dubbing team was given any sort of good vocal direction and because studios don't want to waste much resources they hire not-so-great dubbing teams which naturally end up not having good voice direction for their performances.

That said, I never saw the point of mocking others for watching dubs other than being massive weebs. Sometimes its still possible to find really good dubs.. I think I prefer all of Watanabe's dubs over the original subs. Maybe it's because his animes are already quite westernized so dub teams have an easier time doing the voice work. I've watched the sub and dub for Space Dandy recently and 50% of the jokes in the sub simply don't click like they do in the dub.
