Personally I don't think she was ever very good, but her competition was just bad and judoka are trained to be very aggressive. Women's fighters now probably have to pass more tests just to get ranked than she did to become champ.

Her natty limits as far as athleticism/dedication/work ethics are pretty out there, I don't think she'd be great at standup, but I would have loved to see her shaped by a different sculptor.
