This one's interesting..
>>
>>1603588
This one is really good right up until the "cryptic" shit at the end. It should have played off the the hijacking aspect a bit more to make it seem like the subject wanting you to look and the subject not wanting you to look were both vying for agency. This gives a concise narrative while still leaving the viewers mind room to wander and fill in what they think is happening, as opposed to the cheesy forced "mystery" being dragged out by the intentionally "disturbing" phrases. This would even make the viewer feel more unnerved when the resisting party finally gives in, especially if they were less faux-poetic and more concise and urgent like the were originally, giving the impression that it was still the same entity, but that they were simply and suddenly convinced to act opposite to their original position.

FFS, why is it always the dumbest fucks who get lucky? Just the other day, one of our star young sportsman (21) died horribly when he was coming home at night. He was riding shotgun while his friend drived, they stopped at a red light, and this millionare's little shit kid slams into their car from behinds. The crash was so hard, both cars flew meters before stopping. Both the yound sportsman and his friend died, little scumbag survived. Hopefully he will be paralyzed for life and will suffer through it. Drank about 4 bottles worth of hard booze and decided to go for a little drive for fun.

Fuuuuuck man that brought back memories. Thomas had some nightmare fuel. There was the ghost train episode. I remember one about a Chinese dragon that scared me. I think his name was Duke, who was locked in a shed and waited there for a long ass time and essentially time traveled because when he came out everything was different.

I know what you mean. It sucks, but I've found that separating the process of death from the concept of death itself kind of helps.

In other words, dying itself almost invariably sucks because there's pain and fear. But death itself is all good, since it's just oblivion.

That works for me anyway. Sort of.

A narrative actually does play out when you examine the details. A supernatural one, but still.

>Keeps flashing footage of the moon, but quickly cuts away or distorts before the whole moon can be seen, as if the same person trying to help the viewers and counter the bizarre "advice", is the same one trying to prevent the moon footage from being shown, but it keeps slipping through
>Says things like "don't look up", "avoid mirrors", "it's in the light", etc., advice to avoid looking at the moon or things that could reflect the moon's image and catch your eye
>At 1:15 to 1:16, what appears to be a big smile
>Starting at 2:16 the moon footage can no longer be stopped, and it airs in full
>As the moon pans into frame, we can see what almost looks like a human eye on the right, with nostrils to the left of it...
>By 2:22 the moon-face's noticeable left eye starts to come into frame, then it cuts to black

>The smile at 1:15 was the moon
>The enigmatic figure trying to control the television signal and direct viewers' gaze outside was the moon
>The one issuing the real warnings was the last sane/present broadcaster, the only one who hadn't looked at the moon's face yet (until the ending)
>The initial "weather warning", before things got fucked up, described an event in the night sky, so bright, that it should not be observed with the naked eye
>There was an explosion of light in space
>Then suddenly THE MOON DON'T LOOK AT THE MOON
>
It's not really the moon
>Whatever it is, wherever it's from, it has a face, and who/whatever makes eye contact with it finds themselves to have either completely lost their mind or literally transported into some hellscape, possibly this "moon"'s surface
>The lone broadcaster is struggling, fighting against the moon to urge viewers not to look
>The moon is somehow manipulating the signal, either directly through some force, or indirectly by controlling someone who looked at the moon
cont (1/2)...
>>
>>1605601
cont (2/2):
>The lone broadcaster, in a lapse of judgement, glances up at the ceiling
>One look is all it takes
>He looked at the light fixture
>Which was reflecting an image of the nearby mirror
>Which was reflecting and image of the window
>Which showed night sky
>Containing the "moon"
>No more broadcaster
>Moon footage rolls
>Finally both eyes in frame
>Eye contact between "moon" and all television viewers established
>No more humans

There comes a time in every person's life when they finally realize that adults aren't some different kind of person. There is no big change when someone turns into an adult.

Despite all their titles and positions and families and fancy uniforms, Most adults are the exact same person they were when they were five years old. Some put on a air of maturity and responsibility, but that's just them actively trying to be what they believe "an adult" should be. Others are just as stupid, immature, and uninterested in thinking, learning, or expanding their mind as they were when they were a child.

And they are allowed to be responsible for your children's safety and education.

That's what brains look like inside.

The only way to differentiate the parts of the brain is by near-invisibly-thin gaps between them. In this sense, it is a little necessary to 'rip' a brain apart to separate most of the parts, while damaging the rest.

So, you see how that looks inside, even through a cross-section, where everything is the same color and consistency? How would you even aim for any particular part like, say, the Hippocampus, to alter or cure it? Brain surgery is some serious shit.

You're forgetting the fact that a large scale CME can and will destabilize our atmosphere, destroy nearly all our technology and can result in both high levels of radiation and UV exposure killing alot of organisms. Not even including the plasma and heat as well as the havoc on the weather.

And CMEs are not even that big a threat compared to gamma ray bursts.
Fun fact: One gamma ray burst happened during the ordovician period. It wiped out at least 95% of all life on earth encluding plankton and early plant life. It was the biggest extinction event in history followed by the permian period extinction event.

A black hole literally has infinite density. It is a finite mass contained within an infinitely small space, a singularity. The apparent "edge", or event horizon is simply the region at which light is unable to escape from the gravitational well of the black hole, so the size of that spherical event horizon is dependent on the mass of the black hole. Technically all black holes have no size, it is just the mass that gives them size as depicted in this animation.

It is only that frame that makes the person look like a cat. In the other ones when he is passing by he looks more normal.

I can't swim. When I was young, I was swimming in the Illinois river with a life jacket. Our boat was beached/parked? so I was right by the shore. A barge was going by and it started pulling me towards it. I was probably like 10 at the time and I still am freaked out by it. I think somebody grabbed me before I got too far away (or I just grabbed the boat I was next to-idr)

Being being swallowed, even if temporarily, by a giant sea creature isn't an unreasonable cause of fear of the ocean. Chill out man.

A C-RAM. I inspect these parts before they get assembled.
Biggest orders Ive ever seen came through last week. Some were being partially assembled that very night while crossing the Atlantic

On some real shit though this would be a clever way to get around the whole teaching AI to learn or have morals thing. Imagine just basically putting a human brain into a robot no teaching required thing just gets the value of human life and any problems with have with creating sentient AI

Fuck that. At the ship yards a worker tole me they make you listen to some tape of a bulkhead failing on a sub, causing all on board to perish. It's to make them realize there welding and maintenance has consequences. I wasn't told much about the audio, can't remeber if it was sonar or an audio recording from the control room, but apparently there's screaming I guess.
