What is it with astro boy and not being terrible? By all accounts it and its various spinoffs have been pretty fucking solid, despite the pitch of the source material being pretty basic. I don't think I've ever read or watched a piece of astro boy media I didn't like, and while I have yet to see the recent CG astro boy film, but my understanding is that it's the only member of the franchise that is outstanding in being not good.
