Considering that Vaporwave became popular circa late 2015 early 2016, People will eventually discover that elevator music from the 70s may not satisfy their tastes so their eventually listen HOME - Resonance , realizing its a sort of vaporwave/ synthwave mashup and discovering the synthwave genre as a whole. then getting hooked on 80s retrowave afterwards.

You may not know it but Retrowave is pretty popular on Youtube and its these small communities such /swg/ on /wsg/ help make it grow even further
