I'm gonna have to stop right here and ask if we can REALLY call it a popular uprising when they rose up after Russians annexed Crimea and unidentified, suprisingly well armed, gunmen seemed to spur on the secession of Donbass and Luhansk. Even though the people in these regions were indeed pissed off with Kiev I don't think they chose to rise up on their own. And if they did they sure as hell wouldn't have lasted this long if not for puppeting themselves to Russia. Theres also the whole thing of the rebels being accused of firing artillery inside of residential areas using civilians as a shield. I'm not here to say its 100% true or false, but theres definitely allegations or at least enough to have the rebels make videos of firing their Grad in open fields for the cameras a few times to disprove this

Crimea using it's status as an autocratic republic had a referendum and became part of the Russian Federation. The Little Green Men as they had become to be known where already there (naval base)

As far as BM-21-24 launcher footage firing from open fields. Of course they are going to use them in fields! Thats how you use them, the mobility that the grads have is a huge advantage. Fire and then quickly relocate, so if there is any counter battery fire they only hit open fields.

What I was getting at with them making a show of firing grads in fields is that they're staging a few strikes from fields and then just firing others from inside cities. Now, this is all alleged but why go through the trouble of filming AND having the guy on film say something to the effect of "as you can see, we are firing in the open etc.......(more shit from a script)"

But for me it is probably one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Sometimes it can be really bullshit, but in the end it is worth it. You make a lot of good friends and it gives you a different perspective on the world. I would definitely recommend it, however it isn't for everyone.
