Fuck man, so many feels. I grew up in Afghanistan and I was too young to be aware of this war but my parents/grandparents' stories are heartbreaking. This war wasn't only hard on us but the Russians as well who hated this war especially at the end.

Yeah true the USA could've been smarter in approaching those countries since they were, and believe me, still are a little pro-western. The monarchs of Afghanistan and Iran had great ties with the west. Instead of buttfucking us they could've made us their allies, Then the entire middle-east region would have looked totally different and there wouldn't have been a Muslim problem as we know it nowadays since shitty Arab Sunnite culture has dominated the region and Persian Shiite culture was repressed in the last 40 years.
