Add in the fact that freeway accidents cause much more damage, you end up with statistics that make it seem like men are horrible drivers, when in fact they're not

I don't know how much is genetic and how much is social, but women seem to have an incredible common issue with mixing up peddles and reacting in exactly the wrong way (slamming the gas rather than braking, throwing the wheel rather than holding steady) and use cell phones much more often while driving as well. I've met fantastic female drivers and terrifyingly awful male drivers, but the trend is very obviously the other way.
