it's a spin-off that you don't realize you want to play until you've played it, most people didn't give it a chance, and a lot of critical metal gear fans dismissed it for being dissimilar to the tactical espionage they were accustomed to. It might have done well for itself but there was no conclusive agreement that a sequel could be made with equal or greater success, and to me thats a clue to its cult appeal.
That being said my friend gave the game to me on release day and I was pretty hyped, and I don't have any fantasies that I was the only one who wanted to play the game, but out of all of my friends that played video games, a group large enough to play full teams on metal gear online(ps3) with, only the guy who gave me a copy on release day also played mgr. Everyone else wrote it off

The one part I really love like that from Ludwig's theme is when the brass kicks in. The first half of the song is pretty tame, and near the end it starts to become too busy. But that brass is on-point.

I thought Maria's theme started off fantastic but also became too busy during the second half.

I like gerhman's theme but its not as memorable as the other themes for me. It's nice but its just kind of boring compared to some of the others.

I'm going to remember the impact of songs like darkbeast, living failures, ludwig, laurence the first vicar (one of my fav songs in all of souls games) and lady maria.

Yeah I absolutely hate it, fuck off giving an advantage for press a button while looking at people, its so fucking annoying.

If it has to be there make it automatic after looking at someone for some time, or make it have more significance (super long cooldown, so you only use it on important stuff).

damn, I'm level 71 and I do less than half that damage per swipe. This boss is really fucking hard. I even have three gems of +10-15% attack in my saw spear, but I'm all strength and bloodtinge because I'm trying to get the Bloodletter. I usually use the axe, but I have the saw spear for beasts (it has a +atk beasts gem as well as serration in both forms)

It's hard for me because I'm so used to games where you can get away with button mashing. Then again I do kind of have to hit him a ton of times over 40 seconds there just to take off like 10% of his life, and the quicker he dies the better. I don't want to give him a million opportunities to kill me.

usually he kills me by taking all my health at once with a big hit or combo, before I can heal (typically it's the hoof-stamping one). Same thing always happens when I reach his sword form. He does some combo where he mixes up the windup delays and kills me from like 75% health
