>>
>>1431832
They're not handing them to each other. One tries to pistol whip/karate chop the other, and the clacking noise is the attacker being blocked by the defender's gun.
The whole idea behind gun kata is that it's about probability and positioning, so they both know how the other is going to react to their moves; it's a contest to either see who's faster or whose endurance is better.

On paper the plan was perfect in it's simplicity.

>1. Blow up the cafeteria at 11.17, during peak use with +500 students present

>2. Shoot whatever survivors as they stampeded through the corridors of the school.

My guess is that neither of you knew about step 1. The only reason the body count for columbine isn't triple digits is because of a single wire in the bomb failing, probably coming loos during transport to the cafeteria.

Had the bombs gone of the cafeteria would have instantly have been turned into a fiery and smokey maze of tables, chairs and fleeing people trying to make their way out or helping other victims. People would be running into tables, falling over bodies, hearing little other than screams of pain and fear and seeing little other than smoke and humans in various state of injury. If they managed to make it to the largest exit they probably would have been be unable to recognize the fact that they were running straight into gun fire because the bomb had deafened them or because the screams of torment would be ringing in their ears. Maybe they would have thought it was even more explosive and that the entire school was about to come down on their heads, causing even more panic and chaos.

Hi, /fa/.
>>
>>1433677

If you've ever spoken with a real black person you'd know that there is always a conversation about gun violence, blacks killing each other and how they can stop it. Churches regularly do anonymous gun buybacks in an attempt to keep guns off the streets. There always after school programs being made by people living in said neighborhoods to keep the kids off the streets.

There are marches in black neighborhoods led by community leaders for Stop The Violence. When someone gets killed there are often candlelight vigils and memorials put up. You wouldn't know this because you prefer to stay in your racist hugbox and so would mainstream news outlets.

Conservative media lies about minorities.
Liberal media lies about white people and conservatives.

All you have to do is fucking talk to someone who doesn't look or think like you and you'll be fine. This is exactly America is a shithole and it'll never get better. Everyone wants to stay in their safe space while accusing others of doing so.
>>
>>1430438
for when your fingers no do the working
>>
>>1432954

False.

There were enough explosives to cause the library to cave into the cafeteria.

Everyone in the caf would have died, more than likely. Everyone in the library would have been injured and left to burn or fled and got shot.

A single wire wire wasn't the issue, they used some old school acoustic alarm clock and it fucked up

even if keyframing every second, you can do it in way lower time with pre done shaders and multiple uses of material shaders. they are even doing it with stylized rendering, wich is evne more costefficient

To be honest Vice had hands down the best reporting on the Ukranian Revolution, Crimean annexation and War in Donbass. The guy they had there was able to talk to just about everyone from Far-Right Ukranian Battalions and Russian Separatists to innocent civilians caught in the fighting. It was really in depth and at least from my perspective relatively neutral in reporting. Probably the best reporting on a conflict in years.

The whole series was probably the only good thing to come out of VICE though. Now they seem to pump out a lot of garbage.

Why don't they just throw a goddamn net on him or something.

Why even bring guns if you know they're useless. The tranq idea was smarter but still has its flaws.
>>
>>1443627

A net would make hinder him from moving around as much but it wouldn't stop him from blowing his brains out. Clearly not good enough. What you need is something like an electrified net.

No matter how tough you are, you can't really do shit when you got a high voltage running through your body and if the current is just low enough, it won't kill you. You'll just fall to the ground and scream in agony as every muscle in your body involuntary flexes with the force of a thousand suns.

>for when you're cold

possibly, but gross motor reloads are really for when adrenaline in combat makes you lose fine motor control. The most common example of this is hitting the bolt release with the palm of your hand, not your finger/thumb. In a real firefight, you may not have the dexterity to hit the button right away, costing you precious seconds.

That shit he is doing is retarded though-
>uses firing hand to reload
>reloads by pushing weapon onto mag (mag may not seat properly)
>completely moves his weapon off the target for several seconds

debatable whether the whole foot-charging handle thing is effective, but Im pretty sure you could do the same thing with the palm of your hand.

But most of all If he was actually in a firefight there, he just took his eyes off the target for at least 5-6 seconds to do all that, which is a huge gap. Think about how far the average fighting man could move in that time (40-50 yards), or what he could do (pull out, prepare, and throw a frag, etc)
>>
>>1443157
>Wow this actor is memorizing a specific sequence of events instead of getting combat ready.

He's going to be doing the same scene over and over to get it right, not training to account for every scenario.

The same thing Jackie Chan does his movies despite also being a martial artist, he doesn't just throw random guys in a scene usually and see what happens, he has a series of events that are planned that he does 400 takes of until he gets it right. (Unless it's a hollywood movie)

It is one of the few proper science fiction movies that's been released in a while. Like, it actually tries to deal with the idea of humans attempting to communicate with advanced aliens and the outcomes of them arriving on the planet and things like that and it does it well. Visually I think it comes off as a bit of a perfume commericial. You know, the kind where there's a woman in a dress walking around dark and foggy gas lit streets of London, she hears a sound behind and she starts walking faster but then the winds blows up from behind and she stops and looks behind her shoulder and there's a handsome man there. She smiles, then a thick cloud of fog covers the entire frame with solid white and a women whispers softly as black text emerges from the white fog

>Arrival
>
>by Calvin Klein

Poking fun at the visuals aside I really do think that DV picked his project specifically to show people that he takes science fiction as a genre seriously and that he's an appropriate director for something like Blade Runner.

I mean, right now the dude has a list of movies that says he's capable of directing operator-type action, suspenseful thrillers and genuinely thought provoking science fiction and he can do all these genres without loosing touch with the human component of the stories or a sense of the larger context as well.

I cannot imagine a better director to handle something like Blade Runner. Even Ridley Scott would be a lesser choice.
