Turned this 4MB webm into 2.3MB with equal quality.

Its a bit slower to encode but worth the compression. It takes me an hour to encode a vp9 webm with my current machine. For some reason I keep getting a larger file size lately, I guess I been inputting the wrong quality settings on ffmpeg. What quality settings did you use it use for vp9 compared to vp8?

Yeah it is much slower, though I notice it isn't utilising the CPU as much. VP8 uses 100% across all 4 cores while VP9 barely uses 60%

As for the settings, I used CRF 42 and Tolerance 9 and all I did was select the VP9 checkbox in advanced settings of Webm for Retards

Are there any good examples of a clear (whip-)pan in anime? Where the only thing that is moving is the rotation of the camera? A lot of times in anime they cheat camera rotations or angle changing by using extremely fast scrolling backgrounds and having the characters run into the camera to block the shot while it turns around.

I don't mean tracking shots/scrolling backgrounds. I mean the camera just rotates on a scene 90 degrees or so. Think about looking at your monitor as the current scene. Then rotate your head to stare to the right. That is a pan.

Sakuga is not hype either. Go watch some sakuga webms without sound and context and see how hype they are. Spoiler: Not at all. OPM could have the best animated action scenes in the world, its whole shtick is to ruin any and all tension with its one dumb joke anyway. Also, everything outside the fights stinks and is borderline incompetent.

I’m pretty sure Symphogear has a higher budget than OPM by the way.
