I have a lot of space stuff to contribute
>tfw 4chan doesn't have a dedicated space board
>>1390310
Wow, they've already come a long way since this
>>1390296
Please continue if you have more :D Thank you! I wonder if /sci/ would let us have a space thread for stills.

I had no idea it moved so fast, is this CGI or from one of the Japanese weather satellites?
>>1389657

>>1390087
What am I looking at here, this is an Atlas variant, right?
>>1395534

They regularly release super high resolution images
>>1389657
Fake
>>1389682
It absolutely amazes me what humanity has created.
>>1390338
This is trippy as fuck.
>>1396965
no, they cheer and cry and celebrate because all their hard work paid off, because it actually worked
>>1395547
Looks like a sounding rocket.

mfw space thread
I love these threads
>All the round Earth propaganda in this thread.
Nice try guys. People are waking up to your bullshit.
>>1403689
>satellite
Also possible but how do you know the video wasn't sped up? The angle looks like Mercury's path of transit and is also in a straight line going across a fifth of the Sun's face which compels me to believe that it is actually Mercury.
Also because of the size of the dot.
>Google Images: Mercury Transit 2016
4chan won't let me post google links.
>>1404771
I don't know if it's sped up, but i can only assume the rather large circular bit missing from the sun is the moon obscuring it, and the person who captured this was recording a solar eclipse (which happen on a shorter timescale, and of which there were two in 2016, neither near when Mercury transited)
>>1390296
How does it feel to know that a scary number of people think this is all an elaborate hoax made possible by balloons and mirrors?
>>1394226
>reverse footage of rocket taking off
>hey guys look what we did, send more $ please
You fucking rubes
>reverse footage of dust and smoke being sucked into the rocket engine
>reverse footage of stage exploding backwards the first few tries
>reverse footage of trained actors losing their shit backwards, watching from across the fence
yeah they had us fooled, huh anon?
>>1405468
They had the crowd cheer backwards so it looked normal when the footage was reversed.
What's cheaper? A magical rocket that can fly backwards or acting lessons?
Occam's razor QED.
>>1405253
ashamed for my species
>>1405649
every fucking time a discussion I'm not involved in turns to space and someone chimes in "you know the moon landing was faked?"
Let's just say after that I get fucking involved. I get triggered hard.
>>1405501
>had the crowd cheer backwards
I know i'm taking the bait hard but still
What's cheaper, dumping 9 engines into the ocean or flying the rocket backwards to use it again?
>>1390314
Song?
>>1405651
Good luck fighting through the smoke in that echo-chamber
>>1396965
Epic post.
Not sure if relevant.
Thanks guys. I'm studying to become an aerospace engineer, finals are next week and this was all I needed to boost my motivation.

Happy to help, my dude. I hope you do well on your exams.
